I’ve had so many blessings in my life. Born to loving Christian parents, Reba and Frank Hawley, I grew up in Longview, Texas and was spoiled by my Aunt Rea and Uncle Johnny, Aunt Hazel and Uncle Clyde; friends and cousins Mike and Martha, Becky and Suzy, Mack and Jeanne have enriched my life as well as my dear brother, Jerry, and his family, especially Wade and Amanda.
From the 7th grade on, my Joe was a part of me, as a best friend, love, husband, and life partner. So many good times, bad times and adventures we shared…I wouldn’t have wanted life without him.
I have had many jobs, but one meaningful career providing consumer education to adults in financial crisis. I hope I had a positive impact on the people I met in that work.
Becoming a mom to my bright, loving Lindsay was a dream fulfilled. Oh, how I have loved being her mom and thank her for making Bob part of our family. The absolute icing on my cake…my cherished grandchildren, Rease and Jack. What joyous bright lights they are.
It’s been a good life and I’m now with my sweet Lord and reconnecting with loved ones. It is well with my soul. When you think of me, smile and remember the laughter.
The celebration of life will take place on November 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Northern Hills United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow. The family requests that attendants wear bright colors, as Sandi always wore bright, “happy” colors with pride.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
