Sandra “Sandy” is survived by her husband of 61+ years, Robert, son Mark (wife Pamela), daughter Robyn (husband José), grand-daughter Julia (fiancé Rio), in-laws Paul, Ami, Susan (husband John), and Lucy (husband Frank), and multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Sandy graduated from San Antonio Highlands High School. After high school, she met Robert while he was stationed at USAF Security Service. Her job put her in a position where she issued Robert his daily orders, and according to Robert, that continued throughout the years.
Sandy was first and foremost a dedicated, loving homemaker, who later in life worked part time in her Church rectory. She was also an excellent cook, well known for her desserts. Whether it was her triple-decker German Chocolate cakes, brownies, lemons bars, or assorted pies, she never disappointed when it came to the kitchen.
Sandy was not only a faithful servant of God, but she set the ultimate example to her family and those she interacted with by living her faith daily.
There will be a visitation at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas, from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm on Monday, October 12, 2026. Interment will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 9:45am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
