Sandra Chavez Coln passed away on June 9, 2022, at the age of 51. She was born November 28, 1970, in San Antonio, TX. She attended Fox Tech High School in San Antonio and after graduation, she attended St Marys University in San Antonio where she received her BA in 1993.
One of her goals in life was to leave her career to raise her daughters. She left a good job at Northwest Vista College to achieve that goal. With her leaving her career, she was able to focus on her daughters and become involved with their schools. In the end, she raised two smart, dedicated young ladies who are involved in the community, leaders in their school, and have become the top of their class. Though she will not be able to see her daughters graduate, she set a foundation for them that will last a lifetime.
She was a dedicated family person. She was heavily involved with her parents and her sisters. They traveled to different places and always had a good time. She looked out for her godchildren, nieces, and nephews and was always willing to spend time with them to make sure they had the support and love needed as they grew up.
Sandra was a beautiful soul who lived life happily. Her influence on others was infectious as she always brought smiles to everyone she met. Her loss is immeasurable to her family and friends, but her influence on everyone will last forever.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Christopher Coln, her daughters, Danielle and Gabrielle Colon, her sisters, Helen Aleman, Debra Calbillo, and Gracie Trevino, her mother, Frances Chavez, and father, Ernest Chavez. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
