It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra (Sandy) Jo Davis on November 6, 2024, at the age of 79. Sandy was born on September 6, 1945, in Hazard, Kentucky to Charles Warren and Ila (Breeding) Sorrell.
Sandy met the love of her life and beloved husband, Jerry Wayne Davis of 56 years in Lexington, Kentucky. Jerry enlisted in the Army, and they were off on their life adventure together. Sandy was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family and community.
Survived by husband Jerry Davis, son Robbie Davis, daughter Robin Davis, daughter-in-law Edie Davis, granddaughter Angie Dones Rivera and sisters; Ernestine and Betty Sorrell, as well many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared.
Private funeral services are under the direction of Porter Loring North, San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of a traditional service, Sandy’s wish was cremation.
