Sandra Padilla Gutierrez

Sandra Padilla Gutierrez, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on September 15, 1968, Sandra was known for her selfless, gentle, patient, resilient, compassionate, loyal, honest nature, and as a true fighter.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Luis Padilla and Rebecca Ortiz Padilla. She is survived by her loving husband, Oscar Gutierrez; her son, Joshua Michael Gutierrez; her sisters, Rebecca “Becky” Padilla and Laura Padilla Gutierrez; her brother, Mario Padilla; and her cherished fur baby, Diamond. Sandra also leaves behind numerous extended family members, including aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and one uncle.

She graduated from Burbank High School and obtained her Associate of Applied Science Medical Laboratory Technician Degree from St. Phillips College in San Antonio, Texas. Sandra dedicated 37 years of her life working at HEB as a Pharmacy Lab Technician and was a breast cancer survivor, having defeated the disease two decades ago.

Sandra enjoyed sewing, painting, and gardening, and she loved making crafts for her loved ones. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her role as a great and loving wife and mother, and for always having a smile on her face that would light up the entire room anywhere she would go.

A funeral service will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, located at 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas, 78238. The service is scheduled for January 8, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life Reception at 12:00 pm. A committal service will be conducted at 1:45 pm at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian, located at 11624 Culebra Road, San Antonio, Texas, 78253.
