

Santiago Loredo, 87, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born in South Bend, TX on June 27, 1927 to Frutoso and Francisca Loredo. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946 and returned to Weslaco Texas to complete his high school education.
Santiago retired from the Sears Roebuck and Co. after many years in retail and furniture sales, then went to work for his son George at Loredo Paint and Body.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Julia A. Loredo. Survivors include 5 children, James Loredo and wife Jodie, Richard Loredo and wife Kathy, Belinda Gonzales and husband Dan, George Loredo and wife Anna, and Michael Loredo, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and 2 goddaughters.
The family would like to thank Adante Assisted Living and Memory Care, Coronado at Stone Oak and Hospice Compassus for the love and care they provided. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Georgian Chapel at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough.
