Santiago Rodriguez Solano

Santiago Rodriguez Solano, born on July 25, 1931 was called to be with the Lord on November 13, 2018 at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo G. Solano and Jesusa Rodriguez, 1st wife Marcelina A. Solano. Sons Santiago A. Solano Jr. and David A. Solano, and Daughter Gilda A. Solano. His brothers: Simon Solano, Theodoro Solano and Gregorio Solano; Sister: Josie Garcia; Brothers in law: Pete Garcia and Henry Valderrama; son in law: Felipe R. Reyna Jr.; and Great Grand Daughter Jazmine Reil. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Secilia S. Solano; Children: Linda S. Reyna, Roger A. Solano (Debbie) and Daughter in law Patricia L. Solano. Grandchildren; Anthony Reil, Philip S. Reyna (Laura), Roger Solano Jr. (Jennifer), David Richard Solano, Priscilla R. Rodriguez (Paul), Yvette Romero, Patrick S. Reyna, Jason Anthony Solano, and Eric Michael Solano. Great Grand Children; Paul Alexander Rodriguez, Karsen Solano, Diego Rodriguez, Annabelle Reyna, Caden Solano, Caroline Ramos, Christina Romero, Matthew Philip Reyna, Kylie Solano, Devin Reil, Danielle Rodriguez and Christopher David Mascorro. Siblings: Janie Solano Balderrama, Blaza Solano Lopez (Ernest), Guadalupe Solano Rincones (Joe), Evaristo Solano (Elizabeth).

Santiago loved spending his time playing washers, cards and loteria. He also enjoyed watching his favorite teams, The Dallas Cowboys and The Spurs with his family and friends. One thing he loved to do was giving nick names to everyone that he met in a caring way. Santiago had a passion for gardening, he always made a plant that was dying come back to life.

The visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 p.m Monday, November 19, 2018 At Funeraria Del Angel Trevino 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with Rosary to be recided at 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday, November 20, 2018 the procession will depart from the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m Mass of Resurrection at St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church, 143 East Lambert St. San Antonio Texas, 78204. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park.
