Santos (Sandy) Caliendo, 99, of San Antonio, TX, passed away January 20, 2021. She was born in Laredo, TX on November 1, 1921 to Eusebia and Camilo Quiroz. She was married to Ralph N. Caliendo for 63 years. Sandy a homemaker throughout her life and always took care of her family. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) and the Eagles Mixed Bowling League. Sandy had a passion for bowling, camping, the Dallas Cowboys, and the San Antonio Spurs.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Ralph N. Caliendo; Sisters Frances Q. Martin (Don); Susana Q. Lara (Candelario); brother Benjamin Quiroz (Polly); daughter -in-law Dorothy Caliendo; Grandson Jerry Allen Penalver; Great Great Grandsons Christian A Fernandez and Devin L Hernandez; and Great Great Granddaughter Addilyn.

She is survived by sons Ralph C Caliendo Jr. (Maria Bertha) and Joseph Caliendo; daughters Christine Caliendo Gover (Sam) and Louise Caliendo Penalver (Daniel); Grandsons Peter Michael Caliendo (Mary), Mark Steven Caliendo, Jerry Caliendo (Claudia), Joseph Caliendo (Cynthia), Jonathan Caliendo (Analisa), Eric Allen Penalver (Jasmine), and Everette Allen Penalver (Samantha Marie); Granddaughters Marie Analisa Caliendo Gaitan (Thomas C Gaitan III), Patricia Mary Caliendo Villegas (Mike Villegas III), Michelle R Caliendo (Bryan), Selena Gover, Samantha Gover (Jesus), and Jennifer Caliendo Rebolloso (Henry); Great Grandsons Peter Chris Caliendo, Joshua Caliendo, Thomas C Gaitan IV, Christopher D Gaitan, Mike Villegas IV, Timothy Villegas, Paul A Fernandez, Julian Caliendo, Giuliani Caliendo, Henry Adrian Rebolloso, Joseph Caliendo III, Jionni Caliendo, Ethan Caliendo, Julian Penalver, Benjamin Bocanegra, Everette Penalver Jr, Gabriel Vasquez, Andrew Penalver, John Diaz Jr, and Matthew Penalver; Great Granddaughter Sarah Garza (Paul), Jacquelin N Gonzales Arredondo (Javier), Valerie Villegas, Destiny S Fernandez, Ashley R Fernandez (Jeremy), Hailey, Xandria, Sophia, Jenavee Rebolloso, Jianna Rebolloso, Amanda Penalver, Jessica Caliendo, and Marissa Penalver; Great Great Grandson Issac Garza, Timothy Garza, Jayjay L Medel, Jaziel Fernandez, Ryan L Hernandez, Mason Hernandez, Jaiden, Xavier Vasquez (Abigail), Jace Vasquez, Angel Vasquez, and Adonis Penalver; Great Great Granddaughter Savannah Garcia, Josselyn, Amethyst Vasquez, and Alizae Vasquez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving guest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday February 22, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237, with a rosary service to begin at 7:00 p.m. We will be departing Trevino Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday February 23, 2021 for a 11:00 a.m. mass at St. Gerard's Catholic Church, 1523 Iowa St., San Antonio, TX 78203. A burial is set for March 12, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.

Lara (Candelario); Brother Benjamin Quiroz (Polly); Daughter-in-law Dorothy Caliendo; Grandson Jerry A Penalver; Great Granddaughter Angel Grace Caliendo; Great-Great Grandsons: Jaziah Fernandez and Devin L Hernandez; and Great-Great Granddaughter Addilyn M Rodriguez.

One of my memory of grandma when I was little.... I am going to miss that smile of her she was always was happy, And she loved each and everyone .. We were very lucky to have had an amazing grandmother.. She is and will be the best grandma to me and and all my cuz and our kids and our grandkids . I just hope I can be half the woman she was to me. ... I will miss your sweat voice and miss you always getty after me for no reason ..
