Sara B. Allen

peacefully from this life on June13, 2005 in her home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Altho A. "Jack" Allen, Lt. COL USAF Ret.; a sister, Juliet Boyd deVilliers; a brother, Edward A. Boyd; and great-grandsons, Josef Cohen and Aiden Nicholas Trussell.

Sally was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi but spent most of her growing up years in Mobile, Alabama. She was the youngest of three siblings. She was married to the love of her life, Altho A. Allen on June 30, 1934. Due to her husband's long military career, they traveled extensively in the U.S. and overseas. Her life was one of service to her family, her friends, and her church and as a Eucharistic Minister at Wilford Hall Hospital. She volunterred there until the age of 93, ministering to the Catholic patients.

Sally love life and lived it to the fullest every minute. Her kindness and energy was an example to all who knew her and inspired us to be better people. Sally will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered and leaves a beautiful legacy behind.

She is survived by her two children, Altho A. "Jack" Allen, Jr., and wife Pat and Beryl A. Wilson and husband, Richard; eight grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
