

Sara F. Garcia wife of deceased Alfred Q. Valenzuela passed away on March 10, 2021. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. A graduate of Durham Business Collage she married Alfred on February 16, 1947, a World War II Veteran, and a student at St. Mary’s University. A self-made woman, she retired after37 years as an employee of the Bexar County Juvenile Probation Office. A former President of the American Businesswomen Association (ABWA), she was a devoted parishioner of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She was a lifetime member of the Legion of Mary and the Alter Society, served as a Eucharistic Minister and delivered Holy Communion to the elderly. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mary Garcia; her loving husband, Alfred and daughter, Debra Trevino (Roger Trevino); her sisters, Marie, Lorraine, Julia, Alberta and her brother, Henry Garcia Jr. She is survived by her son, Alfred Valenzuela and wife, Esther; daughter, Claudia and husband Warren McCue; brother, Basil Garcia; and sister, Theresa Garcia; also, seven grandchildren, Roger Trevino, Jr, Lori Valenzuela (Sean), Patrick Trevino (Tina), Elysia Gonzales (Jamie), Fred Valenzuela, Jonathan Granwick, Jacob Trevino (Stephanie) and numerous great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
