Sara Malis Harris, born in Mexico City, age 81 of San Antonio, died on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Sara worked as a reservationist for both Braniff and Mexicana Airlines for a total of 20 plus years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Saul Malis and Peshke Kaplan Malis; and her son, Jesse Karpf in 1981. She is survived by her husband, Barry L. Harris; son, Steve Summers; daughter, Jacqueline Harris Bankler and son-in-law, Brian Bankler; daughter-in-law, Joanie Summers; granddaughters, Rebecca (AJ) Bankler and Samantha Summers; grandson, Aidan Bankler; nieces, Dr. Vivian Bucay, Marilyn Stein, Michelle Harris, Pamela Harris Greenbaum, and Danette Morgan; nephew, Dr. Moises Bucay, Ariel Frid; grandnieces, Cynthia Dondisch and Adina Perez; Sara’s sister in spirit, Miriam Glassman, and caregiver, Angelica Ruiz.
