Sara Ruth Mickey, 80, of San Antonio passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 24, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Louise (Gibson) Stout, and her husband of 36 years, Carl Wayne Mickey. She is survived by her daughters Stephanie Mickey of San Antonio and Sharon Cummings (husband Donny) of Bandera, as well as her grandchildren Matthew Cummings (fiancé Marley Mangum) of Houston and Kayla Cummings (partner Zayne McGee) of San Antonio.
Mrs. Mickey worked for the Civil Service for a total of 27 years and retired from Kelly AFB as a Logistics Management Specialist in 2000. She was a long-time member of the Operations Committee for the San Antonio Livestock Exposition. Family has requested that memorials may be given to any Multiple Sclerosis or Breast Cancer Research foundation.
