Sarah Margaret "Maggie" "Babe" Jones passed away on November 27, 2016. She was born October 23, 1930 and graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1948. She was a member of the Joy Singers at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church where she and her husband of 56 years were members for many years.
She retired from working in Civil Service at Fort Sam Houston. After retiring, she volunteered at Santa Rosa Children's Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, including many memorable family trips.
She was preceded in death by husband, Estil, and daughter, Penny, as well as parents, R.D. and Caula Blalock, brother, Robert and wife, Almeda Blalock, and sister, Bennie Rogers. She is survived by daughters, Susan Jones and Diane and husband, Scott Brown, son, Mark and wife, Lori Jones, grandchildren, Olivia Jones, Doug Brown and Katelyn Jones.
Viewing will be Monday, December 5, 2016, 9:30 a.m. with the service immediately following at 10:30 a.m. in the Garden Chapel at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church; Interment in Sunset Memorial Park. The family requests memorials be given to the Joy Singers of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church.
