Our beloved husband and father, Scott Allen Crail unexpectedly left his earthly life on December 1, 2015, to be with our Lord in his heavenly life. Scott was 49 years old. Scott was born in Sandwich, IL. on May 6, 1966. He was the first son of George and Judith Crail and grew up in Southern California and graduated from Capistrano Valley High School in 1984. All four years of high school, Scott played football and formed many lasting friendships. He attended college at Cal Poly Pomona and completed his Master's Degree at Oregon State, where he majored in Health Physics. In 1991, he met his best friend, soulmate and loving wife Tanya, whom he married in 1993. Scott and Tanya enjoyed many life adventures together, which took them from California to Oregon, Maryland and, ultimately, they made San Antonio their home. Scott served our country bravely, rising to rank of Major in the Army and completed a tour of duty in Iraq. He served in the Army as both an officer and civilian at Fort Sam Houston. Scott was a fun loving, thoughtful, and kind man. He always had an easy smile, quick wit and loved being an amazing father to his children. Some of his favorite activities were coaching his kids in soccer and basketball, ushering at Church, and rooting for his Chicago Bears. Scott will be dearly missed by his family and many friends, but will be forever in our hearts and we look forward to being with him again someday. Scott is survived by his devoted wife, Tanya; his brave, witty and compassionate children, Joey and Alli; his mother, Judith Crail; sister, Dana and husband, Dennis Bacopulos and nieces, Amanda, Ronni and Emily; and brother, Darren Crail and his family.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 5th at 10:30 a.m. at CrossBridge Community Church located at 25700 Overlook Parkway, San Antonio, Texas. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Fort Sam Houston.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a memorial contribution in Scott's memory, please send donations to operationfamilyfund.org, an organization supporting military veterans and their families.
