I sit here crushed as I was just searching for you on face book and finding out that that my best childhood friend has died. Scott was my best friend from the forth grade until seventh grade when Scott and his family moved from Centreville, VA to Ohio.

Scott Lobue Bubba to me was my brother from a different mother. I was truly blessed to have him in my life and to have the cherished memories of the wonderful years we had as brothers. Words cannot explain what he meant to me in my heart, it would only be lost in translation. Although we were separated by distance for many years, each time we would see each other or speak on the phone, it would seem as if we had seen each other yesterday. I know there will come a time when we will meet again and I know time will have made no impression...and I know I will hear him say to me "Great to see you Fancy boy, wanna beer?" I was deeply saddened to hear about Scott. No one should have to go through this at such a young age. I remember him saying at a Christmas party that he loved kids and was excited about being a father to your boys. The memories you made together will be forever in your heart. Scott worked with us at Centerpoint Energy for a few years. He helped us to solve a lot of problems. He was special...a very honest, hard-working and a down to earth guy. We will miss him dearly.

We are all heartsick for your loss. I am so grateful that we came out to visit last year, and that we had a chance to spend time with you, Uncle Jack and Scott and to meet his family. I was just talking to mom earlier last week about making arrangements for her to come back out with Dave, Kim and the kids. I am happy she is with you now. No words can sooth your pain ... I hope you can take some comfort knowing that we are thinking of you, that we love you all and that you are in our prayers. The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love.

Scott was a colleague and will be sorely missed by the GIS community. He gave us insight and guidance anytime we requested it. He will be missed as a teacher to those of us in the GIS community that have had the pleasure of following his lead.

I was a close friend and colleague of Scott's since 1991, working with him at Landata, Berger, and then ESRI. I was needless to say shocked and saddened to hear of his death. I am sorry I am not able to attend the funeral, but I pass on my condolences to all of Scott's family and loved-ones who are gathered there.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Scott's passing. He was a neighbor. a coworker and most of all a friend I have missed for years. God bless the Lobue family.

Scott was a great individual. I met Scott almost ten years ago. He will be greatly missed in our industry. My prayes go out to Scott and his family.

Im so sorry for your loss. I knew and worked with Scott back in the late 80's, early 90's. He was a very nice person, quite and shy until you got to know him. I know he had lots of friends here in Houston....

I only knew Scott for a brief time - primarily through our working together at ESRI. He was a wonderful young man who I was privileged to work with. He was smart, quiet, fun, and dedicated to helping our customers make things really work. Scott had a heart of gold. People liked him because of his desire to get things right and to make systems work. He cared about people and he worked hard to help his customers succeed. He did not really seek the limelight in his work. He just went about his business and mission and really made a major difference in people's lives. Many of us are broken-hearted, and we will miss him.

Scott was one of the finest people I've known in my lifetime. Most importantly he was a friend and someone that I, and many others at CNP, cared very deeply about. He had such integrity, was very dedicated and hard working. He will be missed much more than can be imagined. But I'm thankful for the time I had to know him and to work with him.
