

Scott Robert Murphy was born on October 5, 1950 in Glendale, California. He passed from this life on February 2, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Murphy, his mother, Betty Lou Murphy, and his four children, Jennifer Prado, Matthew Beesinger, Jennifer Mendez, and Robert Ruddick. Seven grandchildren, Taylor Beesinger, Katelyn Ruddick, K Mendez, Madelynn Mendez, Judson Ruddick, Jerimiah Ruddick, and Jaelynne Prado. 4 great-grandchildren, Melody, Mason, Mariana, and Noel. Brother Kevin and his wife Lori Murphy, sister Teri, and her husband Joe Babineau. 3 nephews, Deven, Chris, and Austin. 1 niece, Kristen, and his best pal, Rockie Riley Murphy.
He was a fifth-generation certified jeweler and gemologist who worked for approximately 10 years at Paul Johnson’s Jewelers at the Metro Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
He moved to San Antonio, Texas, in 1984 and, with his father, started a business at C.R. Time Company, selling watch batteries, watches, and clock movements nationwide.
When his father retired, he owned C.R. Time Company until he retired 6 years ago and sold the business to his partner.
He was our own private family comedian; he often made us laugh.
He was a positive-thinking man who encouraged his family and was ready to help them in any way he could. He prayed for his family daily.
He was a loving husband, son, dad, brother, grandad, great-grandad, brother-in-law, and dad to his dog Rockie.
He will be greatly missed, and life will never be the same without him.
