It has taken me a while to get up the nerve to actually send a tribute. Scott was one of a kind and all who knew him knows this fact. Although I may not have been his next door neighbor or always with him, he touched my heart and I have been blessed to know him. Anyone who knew Scott fell in love with him as soon as they met him. He was always so nice and was an angel for all of us. He will have a place in my heart forever. My condolences to the family. I know we did not know eachother that well, but if you ever need anything please let me know. Scottie 2 hottie will live forever in all of our hearts.

The one thing that sticks out in my mind whenever I think about him is his smile. He was always happy and so full of life. I'm sorry to hear about the loss and his family and friends will be in my prayers.

Your home was always open to all of Scott's friends and it became my home away from home. I would come over all the time, even if it was just to sit in the vault and watch Scott play video games, I loved to be around him and the whole family. We were heart broken to learn about the death of Scott. As neighbors of his grandmother Polly, we always see so many vibrant young people visiting her that Scott surely must have been in "the mix." I met Scott the first time in 1999 when I was visiting my family the lavens in San Antonio. Niko and Scott were inseperable. I knew Scott as a cheerful and happy young man. The last time I saw him was this summer at his appartment, it was just a " hi, how've you been doin' " but he realy was interested in people. Scott left a memory of an always happy and nice young man. Life is unfair, luckily Scott will live on through all of us and our memories.

My wife and I send our thoughts and prayers. Sunday we played against the Blades, a team that usually beats us. We came back to tie from two goals down. Scott said that his game was off, and that he was just getting back into form. Our team had missed him in the midfield, and I did not notice any rust. We will always have space for him on the team. He is on God's coaching staff, playing on the softest of all grasses on the most perfect of days. Thank you for sharing his abilities.

The service was lovely and touched everyone, especially the many young people. I loved Mike's references to King David because Scott does look like David looked. I knew Scott since I was in the 8th grade. I used to tease him because I always had a little crush on him. I knew him because I'm best friends with Manuel's sister Fran. Although I didn't know him well, I knew him enough to know that he truly was an angel. I would like to give my deepest condolences to his family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to read about your precious son Scott. You do not know me, but I know what you are going through, for I too have gone thru this nightmare. It has been 5 years since my son Jason left this earth at the age of 24. It was sudden, and my heart still hurts. I want you to know that you are not alone, for there are many that have been where you are at this moment. My son Jason graduated from MacArthur...and we too had our burial at Sunset... Grief is a lifelong journey, and your life is forever changed....and there will be many peaks and valleys, but as I said, You are not alone. There is a wonderful group of bereaved parents...called Forever Loved...we meet every monday...at St Pious Church on Harry Wurzbach. I know that Paula Loring will tell you about it...but I wanted you to know that it has helped me so much...It is hard to go, I started going 2 weeks after Jason died....and my purpose is different now, for I want to give hope to those who are just starting on this journey. Everyone in this group understands your pain...for we all have experienced it.....it does not matter how it happened....or the age of your child....the pain is the same....we are not suppose to bury our child....but it happens.....I have written many poems....and in one, I wrote....Mom, please don't feel guilty , it was just my time to go.......we all have a time we leave this earth.....I know that nothing makes sense right now....you are numb...and your world has been shattered. I can remember when I would find Matt in the gym at church playing basketball with Barrett and Scott. I know he really enjoyed that. I don't think I ever saw Scott where he wasn't smiling. He was a bright light day or night. He will be missed and I am praying for your family, that you feel the hand of God and know He is carrying you and will hold you up as long as you need Him too.

Scott and Darren have been soccer buddies for the past few years; one would be sweeper and the other would be stopper. They always had a good time on the field; when one would go up, the other would stay back and cover. Scott always had a radiant smile on his face and a positive attitude. The score didn't really matter; just being there playing was what it was all about. I'll always remember how happy his little brother and sisters were to see him after the game. He always took time to talk to them or pick them up. Scott was a wonderful young man and a role model to all. He touched the lives of those who knew him. We will miss him but know that he is looking down upon those he loves, smiling from heaven.

Scott was a part of my life only for a short time. What wonderful things I have heard about him since he grew up. I can't imagine the heartbreak that all of you must be going thru. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. May the lord be with you.

Scott was an awesome guy! I saw him being a great brother to his siblings, a fun friend to hang out with, and he was quick to do something silly and not care what everyone might think. He was always himself. Many young people looked up to him and he set a great example for others to follow. If I were to name all the great things I saw him do in the short time that I knew him, it would take a book. He was such a great person to know! He had such an impact on people. I grieve losing him on earth, but look forward to the day of seeing him in heaven. I know he's having a blast!

I met this wonderful young man a few days ago when I attended the 
Parent's meeting at Kriterion Montessori School. 
He was going to be the assistant teacher in my 3 year old daughter's

Erik played club soccer with Scott on the Alliance. I will always remember how impressed I was that a teenage boy could be so dedicated to his younger siblings. I always marveled at the attention he always gave his brother and sisters the minute the games were over--even carrying them and cuddling them. I always saw Scott in the hallways with his friends and with Tamara. He always had a smile on his face. I met him once while he was with Tamara and he was so nice and kind. I'm still in shock to believe this sudden tragedy. Scott was getting ready to start his life, but God has a better plan for him. We will all miss him very much. Barrett and I have been friends since high school, and I had the privilage of working with Scott and his buddies one hot Sunday about 2 months ago. Barrett and Melanie had heard of 7 recently-orphaned boys, and he called me about helping haul over to them a 
washer /dryer set. Scott had just been to a graduation party the night before, but impressed me w/his unhesitating willingness to help, big grin, and cheerfulness. He laughed and joked w/Barrett as if they were best buddies, and was so at ease with everyone. It was readily apparent Scott's parents had instilled in him solid values and appropriate priorities. Perhaps the Good Lord wanted the luxury of his company, and called him home early...

Trusting that God's comforting love, precious memories of Scott, and time passing will soon ease the pain and sadness...

I only met Scott once or twice while with my friend Kate Gober, but he was one of the sweetest and kind-hearted souls I have ever met and probably will ever meet. He emanted a light that made one feel like you were in the presence of a good person. I can not comprehend the sudden loss of such a soul; perhaps the angles in Heaven simply missed their earth-bound brother. I believe that God is wise in all of His decisions and, though I personally may not like nor completely understand His wishes in this sudden loss of exactly the type of person this world needs more of, I have to simply accept what has happend. I pray for his loved ones and rest peaceful in the knowledge that Scott is most definately in Heaven watching out for them all. God bless and keep you safe.
