Sebio Carpio

Sebio was born to Lidia Carpio Carbajal and Eusebio Carbajal in Honduras. When he was 12 years old, he was brought to the United States by Sidney A. Sparks (Sparky). He grew up with three brothers: Tommy Sparks, Eric Sparks and Steven Sparks. He attended high school in Alice, Texas and graduated from the University of Houston. As an adult, Sebio brought his brother Saul, to the US.

Sebio shared four children with his ex-wife, Wavlyn - Kerry Carpio, Kenny Carpio (wife Kim), Sonya Kelly (husband Tim), Tina Spencer (husband Jeff). They also shared 6 grandchildren - Jessica Copeland (Lance), Erica Guyton (Christian), Josh Carpio (Melia), Sarah Kelly (Alan), Seth Kelly (Jenny), and Brooke Spencer. In addition he also was a great grandfather to Kace and Cameron Guyton, and will be adding a great granddaughter and great grandson in the coming months.

For the last thirty-two years, Sebio was married to his wife Lucy Reveles-Carpio. They shared a granddaughter, Brooke Michelle Burns.

Sebio worked for a John Hancock Insurance Company for 38 years. He worked very hard and loved helping people. After retiring he kept very busy with attending continuing Ed classes, going to the gym, watching sports, taking care of his yard, and traveling to the coast with Lucy and Buttercup. Sebio loved serving in his church, (Churchill Baptist) and was very faithful to attend. He loved the Lord and serving people. His greatest joy was his grandchildren.

A private family visitation will be held at Sunset funeral home, 1701 Austin Highway, on Wednesday, July 20th at 10:30 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 AM.

Sebio will be greatly missed, but we have comfort in knowing we will see him again.
