It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Seth Brown, an incredibly gifted and nurturing young man, at the tender age of 20. Seth was a student at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was pursuing his dream of becoming a wildlife biologist.
Seth’s passion for rescuing animals and the natural beauty of God’s creation was evident to all who knew him. His dedication to his studies and his dream of making a positive impact on the environment showcased the depth of his character and love for any and every animal. With and without permission, and all through his life, Seth would bring a variety of animals home to care for or adopt.
Born to Rob and Jackie Brown, Seth brought immense joy, laughter and love to his family and friends, who now grieve the loss of a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and grandson. It was evident to everyone who knew him of his tender and compassionate heart and his empathy for others made a tremendous impact in their lives. He had a beautiful gift of always putting people at ease with his thoughtful and loving disposition. He was accepting of others, careful to never cast judgement. He was an eager explorer of God’s world and found much joy in new adventures. Seth’s enthusiasm for life and quick wit touched everyone around him, leaving a lasting impression and impact that will never be forgotten.
Seth's passing is preceded by his maternal grandfather, Roger Farley, who undoubtedly welcomed him in Heaven along with the open arms of Jesus Christ. (Mathew 11:28 - “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”)
Seth is survived by his loving parents, Rob and Jackie Brown; his sister, Sophia Wilkinson (Garrett); and his adored new nephew, Grayson Wilkinson. He will be deeply missed by his maternal grandmother, Carol Farley, and paternal grandparents Buzz and Donnice Brown. Seth leaves behind a strong legacy of love and precious memories that will forever be engraved in the hearts of his family and closest friends.
In addition to his immediate family, Seth is mourned by his aunts and uncles, Jenny Gmitric (Sava); Michael (Carol) Farley, Camilla (Tim); and Abigail Desmond (Chris). He will be remembered affectionately by his cousins, Peter and Emily Gmitric, Erin, Maddie, Kate, and Ava Farley, and Lyndsey, Kelsey, and Meighann Mahoney. The loss of Seth is felt deeply by numerous extended family members and a lifetime of close friends who were blessed enough to share in the warmth of his friendship.
As we mourn the loss of Seth, we also celebrate the beautiful life he lived, the love he shared, and the impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. May his memories and free spirit forever be engrained on those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to the Bulverde Area Humane Society in Seth’s memory. It is an all-volunteer, no-kill shelter providing care and a secure environment for homeless and surrendered animals. The shelter’s website is www.bulverdeshelter.com.
