Sharon could light up a room with her smile.


When she focused her attention on you you were convinced, charmed and elevated.


Sharon introduced new music to me, Stephan Grapeli ( listened to with red wine and Brie), Tito Puentes (enjoyed with high heels and percussion instruments), Lavern Baker (dancing), and many more.


Sharon gave me the best Caesar Salad recipe. The dressing included Champagne, consuming the remainder of the bottle was part of the recipe.


Night time secret excursions, ( shrimp guts in hubcaps).


Her influence is a part of who I am. She is missed but not absent in this world.

My earliest memories go back to the early 80’s meeting Sharon at the Flatlanders Ski Club in Midland Texas. She really didn’t enjoy skiing as did my girlfriend (soon to be wife) and a grand friendship began between us. Sharon was a gentle soul with spot on advice. She was great comfort to Pat and me as we went through Pat’s cancer battle at MD Anderson. Sharon, you will be missed by all.

Just for you Sharoni....
I want you to know that your smile will forever light up my day and fill my heart with joy. Thank you for not giving up and tapping alongside me for so many years. You never believed it but I promise you were a natural. It was never the shoes, it was always you. Thank you for always making me laugh. Thank you for introducing me to the finest champagne, I have to say Pierre Jouët was my favorite and you were right the painted bottle is the BEST. And yes I did register the Lenox glasses. Thank you for making the best props for my dance students, that we still use today. You always knew how to make something sparkle and yes it took 6 bottles of pink to find the perfect pink but you always made it happen. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for being my Sharoni! I love you, miss you, and I know I will see you again.

Remembering my baby sister, Sharon, who is 10 years younger than me, yet so much smarter, kinder, & loving.  If I was able to ever follow someone’s example, it would be that of Sharon, who lived the Bible verse: “Be ye kind to one another”.  I’ve never known anyone who had such a kind, sweet, tender way of speaking to other people & to her many rescued dogs. She treated everyone fairly, with respect and genuine care. She had many friends in different levels of education, cultures, & economic status, and always showed high positive regard equally, remaining loyal, supportive, and close.  Sharon tried to stay physically fit and active despite her various health concerns.  She tap danced, ice skated, walked, and I had the privilege of being pulled in a sled by a team of dogs which she led over the snow in Wyoming.  As a child, she was so playful, sometimes mischievous in a cute way, and my fondest memory is of my two sisters sitting on my back as I gave them a ride.  We were in ballet together, and Sharon age 5 got the lead part of being the sandman who put the ballerinas asleep.  She learned a lot about God as the caregiver played the piano in church and would take Sharon and sit her upon the piano during service.  She later volunteered in her church in Austin, doing some of the landscaping care, among other things.  Sharon’s relationship and marriage to Bob brought us sisters such a blessing of a gentle, genius to be our brother-in-law, and her way of living life and speaking to him with such kind endearing tenderness, make us want to be better followers of Jesus, as Sharon followed Him. In my memories of my sweet cousin Sharon, she was such a kind and loving soul even as a little girl. She would have been 10  years old when I was born. Her and her mother Lallie would come to visit on the weekends. She would get her mother to get me a new dress, so she could dress me up. I was grown when I heard this story. I loved that she wanted to spend her time playing with me. Even years later she would always make sure I was included in all the adult conversation. She just didn't want me to feel left out. I always admired her cause she was so beautiful inside and out. She will surely be missed.

Sharon was a sweet and generous soul. I remember her from Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, when we were at 1801 Pennsylvania Ave. She always wore a small. For her joy is now complete with our Savior.
