

Sharon held degrees in Art History and Computer Science from the University of Texas. Her master’s thesis was written on Picasso’s cubist ballet Parade.
While working in operating system development at IBM, Sharon obtained a patent for method and apparatus for securing a cookie cache in a data processing system. She retired after many years of service.
She enjoyed tap dancing, ice skating and spending time with her dogs, family, and friends.
She was a member of and volunteered for Greater Mount Zion Church in Austin.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband Robert “Bob” Gustwick; sisters Diane McGuire, Linda McGuire Cooper; sister-in-law Elizabeth Gustwick.
Sharon loved God, family and her friends with all her heart. We will miss her in this life and look forward to seeing her again in the next.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
