Born on March 16, 1947, in Clarksville, Texas, Sharon was the daughter of Mildred and Hoy Tennar. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Hoy Tennar Jr.; her great-grandson, Luke Levine; and numerous aunts and uncles whom she dearly loved.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, Reverend Boots Levine; her daughter, Shannon Levine; her son, Sean Levine, and his wife, Jennifer. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in her six cherished grandchildren: Garrett, Gavin, Ethan, Barry, Faith, and Andrew, and her treasured great-grandson, Philip Levine. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Barbara Mosby and Beverly Evans.
Sharon dedicated over two decades of faithful service to Cornerstone Church, first as a receptionist—fondly known as “the voice of Cornerstone” for seven years—and later in the Business Department as the Membership Coordinator. She served the church community for a total of 21 years, bringing warmth, joy, and wisdom to all who knew her.
A woman of many interests, Sharon was an avid reader throughout her life, beginning with library books, then paperbacks, and eventually graduating to a Kindle. Finally, her library collection of DVDs and CDs, which was "exhaustive". She held Platinum status on Carnival Cruise Line, having joyfully embarked on 18 cruises. She especially loved chocolate chip mint ice cream and could often be found delighting in the simple pleasures of life.
But above all, Sharon loved Jesus—with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. Spirit-filled and deeply prayerful, her walk with God only deepened as her physical strength waned. Her unshakable faith was the cornerstone of her life and legacy.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humor, wit, and wisdom. She was a patient listener, a gracious soul, and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother (Mimi) who adored her family deeply. An early passion for tri-Chem painting filled her home with handmade art. She was a proud member of the Cornerstone choir for 10 years and had a deep appreciation for butterflies, flowers, and the joy of Thanksgiving dinners. For her 75th birthday, she boldly commemorated her journey with a Monarch butterfly tattoo on the back of her right hand, proudly displaying her “ink” as a symbol of transformation and beauty.
Sharon's life was a testament to grace, strength, and unshakable faith. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Cornerstone Church, 18755 Stone Oak Parkway, San Antonio, Texas 78258, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
