

She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Sharon graduated from St. Mary's University and received her master's degree from UTSA. She married Edward "Buzz" Wagner in 1968. During her married life, she traveled the world to Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Sharon was a gifted teacher. She also served as a PTA president and school board member. Sharon was an accomplished tennis player who won numerous tournaments in Texas, Florida and Mexico. She subsequently became a tennis teaching professional, certified by the U.S. Professional Tennis Association. Upon returning to San Antonio in 1990, Sharon became the Director of Tennis for Northern Hills Country Club until her retirement in 2000. She was a former treasurer of the San Antonio Professional Tennis Association.
Besides her love of travel, Sharon was an avid reader, artist and photographer. She was a new member of St. Padre Pio Catholic Church.
This loving wife, mother and grandmother is survived by her husband, LTC Ret. Edward J. Wagner, Jr., daughter, Kristin Monzon, son-in-law Jose, granddaughter Adrianna and a brother, Craig Chapman of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by numerous cousins.
