On Wednesday, November 21, 2007, Sherri Rogers Hilgenfeld went to be with her Lord, after a brief battle with cancer. Born July 1, 1955, in Houston, Sherri spent most of her childhood in Nacogdoches, TX.
In 1981 she married Jim, her husband of almost 26 years. Known for her dry sense of humor and much-loved laugh, Sherri was a precious wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
She poured her creativity into countless projects, but her greatest passion was horses. There's a saying that: "Horses lend us the wings we lack" - Sherri was a frequent flier!!
She is survived by husband, Jim; daughter, Kathryn Dower and husband, Brad; mother, Winona Barrineau and husband, George; father, Bernard Rogers and wife, Deborah; brother, Dick Rogers and wife, Myriam; brother Greg Thacker and wife, Judi; stepsister, Becca Chappell; stepbrother, Allan Barrineau; mother-in-law, Leasie Hilgenfeld; sisters-in-law, Jan Leaman and Jenger Waters, and their husbands; countless nieces, nephews, and treasured friends.
