

It is with heavy hearts and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved Sheryl Lynn Ryan. She passed away peacefully on Friday June 13, 2025, in her home in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 62.
Sheryl is survived by her husband Greg Ryan of 38 years of marriage. Together they built a life full of love, faith and family. Also survived by her daughter, Brandy Goden with husband, Steven Goden; and her grandchildren, Braelyn Thornton and Zackary Goden. Her brother, Troy Waddell and wife Patricia Waddell.
She is preceded in death by mother, Lillian Deptawa Waddell; and father, Harold Waddell. She had countless friendships, extended family and clients that truly loved her. Throughout her life, Sheryl dedicated her career in Interior design for 30 years by obtaining an Associates degree in Interior Design and Arts at St. Phillips College. She worked with Class Covers and Colors design firm for several years. Then in the year 2010 started her own design company, Comforts of Home. She was a personable professional who was deeply committed to the success and satisfaction of each of her clients and their homes. She went above and beyond basic service needs to provide them beautiful homes to live in.
She was involved in volunteer organizations including Boy Scouts of America and Steele High School Dance Boosters for her grandchildren. She made a lasting impact through her acts of generosity and labor of love for her granddaughter's dance team. Her favorite activity was watching her dance under Friday night lights with dance teams Knightlites and Medallions at Steele Knights football games.
She will be remembered most for her joyful laughter and strength. Her ability to create beautiful events and celebrations will be missed. Her love for animals especially her dogs throughout the years was evident in her life. Her presence brought light and joy to those around her, and her memory will continue to inspire us to make everything in the world and home beautiful.
The Celebration of Life services will be held at Porter Loring North at 1:00 P.M., on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2102 North Loop 1604 East. San Antonio, Texas 78232
Then following the service, the reception will be located at Garden Ridge Event Center, 2100 Memorial Parkway, Garden Ridge, Texas
The family invites all who knew her to please attend to share memories and the love for Sheryl.
