Shirley Nell Carpenter entered into rest August 26, 2010 in San Antonio at the age of 76. She was born in Rankin County, MS. Survivors include her husband of 45 years Walter Carpenter; daughters Brenda and Cynthia; four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation and viewing will be held from 8:15 a.m. till service time on Monday, August 30, 2010 followed by a graveside service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:00 a.m.
