He was born January 21, 1947 in Manhattan, New York to Sidney and Bernice Hinds.
Sidney was a retired U.S. Postal Carrier.
He was preceded in death by his father Sidney F. Hinds, and his sister Lana Hinds.
Sidney is survived by his loving companion and wife of 40 years, Lorraine M. Hinds; children, Sidney Hinds III, Mark Hinds, Fritz and Pierre Armand; grandchildren, Derrick, Sidney, IV, Porshia, Brittney and Joshua, Pierre, Ashley, Gina and Ishmael; mother, Bernice Hinds; and a host of nieces and nephews.
