
Sidney Jay Lindheim, born April 11, 1947 in Passaic, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Carrollton, Texas. Sidney graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in electrical engineering. After college he went into the U.S. Army and served honorably including service in Korea. He then worked for the telephone company as an electrical engineer and later pursued his career in the telecommunications industry. He had a love of music from childhood and was a dedicated fan of jazz. An amateur radio operator, he held a ham radio license to pursue his hobby. He was also dedicated to the many pet cats he cared for and with which he shared his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ida Lindheim, of Passaic and San Antonio; sister, Betty Hilton and her first husband, Dr. Charles Hilton of San Antonio. Sidney will be lovingly remembered by his nieces: Rabbi Julie Hilton Danan, Melissa Hilton, and Alison Hilton and their families; brother-in-law, Joel Feinglass; uncle, Jay Scovronek and cousins, Dr. Henry Scovern, Nancy Scovern, Rachel Scovronek and Frank Scovronek and their families, and Sylvia Hilton.
