He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon T. & Irene Garcia; beloved wife of 15 years, Maria Isabel Garcia and brothers, Carlos Garcia and Charlie Garcia.
He is survived by his children, Manuela Ruan (Robert), Simone Garcia, Martina Garcia (Parker Larimer), Simon Garcia (Latricia) and Vincent Garcia (Hanna); brothers, Louie Garcia, Alexander Garcia (Debbie) and George Garcia (Jianmin). Simon is also survived by his numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Simon proudly served in the United States Army for over 25 years reaching the rank of command sergeant major.
A visitation for Simon will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211 with a chapel service to begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
