SM/Sgt James Morgan Young

He was born on May 2, 1927 in La Farge, WI to Thomas Mendenhall Young & Eunice (Johnson) Young. Jim honorably served his country for 28 years & spent most of his Air Force career at Lackland AFB as a Training Instructor. He was cited many times for his outstanding performance & attended one of the first classes at the NCO Academy.

He was an avid golfer & won many base championships wherever he was stationed. He was also Texas State Director of Golf Tournaments for the Knights of Columbus for many years. Our Dad's greatest gift to us was his belief in us.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful bride of 61 years, Tina. Survivors include his 3 sisters, Lorrine Hilton, Joyce Tomczak and Ethel (Rusty) Garbacz, all of Wisconsin; children, Dan (Karen) Young, Tom (Mary) Young, Jacob (Leah) Young, Sandra (Steve) Gilmer, & Jo-Ann Markham/Young; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was loved & will be missed by all who came to know him. Off you go into the Wild Blue Yonder.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
