Socorro S. Rodriguez

Socorro S. "Cora" Rodriguez, age 79, passed away on February 26, 2007. She was born in San Antonio, Texas March 14, 1927. She retired from the County Clerks Office, Bexar County, as Supervisor of the Vital Statistics Office in 1991.

She taught her family valuable lessons of life, such as her incredible confidence as an entrepreneur, her frugalness toward her own needs yet so generous with family and friends, her unselfish ways and her ever vigilant concern to never impose on anyone.

Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her parents, Deodoro and Maria De Los Santos; and her brother, Robert De Los Santos. Mama Cora left special memories of love, caring and devotion for those surviving her who, in turn, dearly loved and cherished her; her son, Arthur S. Rodriguez and wife, Norma; her grandchildren, A.J. Rodriguez and wife, Estelle, and Michael G. Rodriguez and fiancée, Tanya Silva; and great grandchildren, Alexandra Jasmine, Arthur John, and Isabella Carolina all of San Antonio.

Mrs. Rodriguez family is especially grateful to Diana Rodriguez and the personnel of the Superlative Senior Care facility and Vista Care Hospice for their excellent, professional and loving care who gave her and her family so much comfort in her final days.
