Soledad M. Sanchez

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mrs. Soledad Munoz Sanchez, who entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on August 2, 1934, in San Antonio, TX, she lived a life filled with love, laughter and cherished memories.

A devoted member of St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church, she found joy in life's simple pleasures. Soledad was always lending a helping hand for the neighbors in whatever they needed. She found a great delight in birdwatching, especially Cardinals. She had a deep appreciation for chihuahua dogs.

Mrs. Sanchez is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Leonel Sanchez, who passed away May 17, 2025, at the age of 95. She was also a proud grandmother and caretaker of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, David Sanchez (Sylvia); Norma Lopez (Margarito), Daniel Sanchez (Anita) and Irene Quinlan (Paul); grandchildren; Monica Samayoa, Melissa Sanchez, Stephanie Sanchez, Daryl Sanchez, Benjamin Sanchez, Rebecca San Miguel, Raelyn Serna, Ariana Serna, Maia Gonzales, Kailani Gonzales, Lucia Ana Gonzales, Skylar Samayoa and Levi Samayoa; brother, Rafael (Tito) Munoz.

The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.

The Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1535 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209. There will not be a procession from the funeral home.
