

Solomon Joseph Karam, Jr., loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend died Sunday, January 18, 2009. Born February 7, 1946, a native of San Antonio, graduated from St. Mary's University. He was a devoted, lifelong member of St. George Maronite Catholic Church. In past years, he served as president of the St. George Parish Council and the Holy Name Society, was president of the National Apostolate of Maronites and a member of the Knights of St. Gregory. He was president of Consolidated Produce from 1973-1988 and of Ameriform from 1993-2009. Solomon is preceded in death by his father, Solomon Joseph Karam, Sr., and his uncles Ralph N. Karam, Aziz K. Mery, and George K. Mery. He is survived by his wife, Ann Daly Karam; children, Angela M. Karam, Adam J. Karam, Samantha A. Karam, Sara Karam Holtz and husband, Joseph Holtz, and grandson, Jace Karam Holtz. He is also survived by his mother, Azizi Mery Karam; sisters, Mary Anne Karam and Jeanette Van Delden, and brothers, Robert Karam, Patrick Karam, and Ralphie Karam. Our deepest gratitude goes to Dr. J. Brant Ellis, Dr. Michael Wooley, and the wonderful ICU staff at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital.
