Stephanie lived a life filled with creativity, love, and a deep connection to nature. Her sudden departure has left her family and friends in shock, but her memory will live on through the beauty she created in the world.
From a young age, Stephanie showed a remarkable talent for arts and crafts. Whether it was painting, knitting, or designing intricate paper crafts, she had a gift for turning ordinary materials into extraordinary works of art. Her creations were cherished by those who received them, each piece a reflection of her warmth and personality. In recent years, she found a new passion in stained glass, creating stunning, colorful pieces that transformed light into vibrant displays of beauty. Stephanie had a special affinity for owls, and her home was filled with owl-themed decorations and trinkets. On June 8, 1991, Stephanie married the love of her life, Anthonio E. Cortez, in McAllen, Texas. Their 33-year union was a testament to their deep love and unwavering commitment to one another. Together they built a home full of warmth and laughter. Their marriage was the foundation of Stephanie’s life, full of love, understanding, and shared adventures. They were each other’s greatest support, finding joy in the simple moments they shared, whether working on a home project or enjoying their love for the outdoors.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Stephanie is survived by her devoted husband, Antonio Cortez; twin sister, Stacey Lea Christ; sister, Shelley Jean Christ-Pizana; nieces, Ashley James Hok and Nikki Christ Stark; and her beloved, chihuahua, QT.
