Stephen C. Echeverria, Sr., age 65, passed away on January 23, 2020. He was born in Bronx, New York on August 24, 1954. If you know him or had a chance to meet him you would say he had a heart of gold and it was like speaking with one of God’s angels. Big Steve, as he was known to family and friends, was and is one of the most kind hearted people you could know. He was very special to a lot of people, not just family. He meant the world to a lot a friends, neighbors and friends that were like family. Big Steve was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Big Steve was preceded in death by his father, Mario Echeverria, and brother, Freddy. He is survived by his wife, Debra; his mothers Betty and Maria; his son, Stephen II and his wife, Margie; his granddaughter, Olivia; and siblings Olivia, Bobby, Maria, Herman, Mario, and Louie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 30th from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 31st at 12:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
