Col. Stephen E. Peterson, Sr., age 81, died in San Antonio, TX. He was born August 7, 1929 in Cass County, MI the son of Louis and Belle Stewart Peterson. Steve retired following 33 years of service from the U.S. Army. He then served as a Pastor in several Presbyterian Churches in SW Michigan and in Texas.
Steve was preceded in death by a son and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Arlene Ritter Peterson; six children; twelve grandchildren; a brother; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Following the gathering in Texas, a visitation and service will take place in Michigan at the Betzler Life Story Funeral Home in Kalamazoo, MI 800-822-7594.
