I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was such a fun, positive person. My heart goes out to the Sanders family and sending my love to Mr. and Mrs. Sanders.

Steve was one of the first people to come up and start a conversation with me on orientation day at UPS. I was so blessed to have him as a colleague, team mate, and friend for the past 2 years. He really knew how to make everyone in the room smile and I will really miss that positive attitude that never dulled.

Graduation Day in May 1989. I’ll always remember all the good times we shared. You will be missed and never forgotten.

To my friend Steve, it’s really hard for me to write about you, knowing I will never hear your voice.  I met over 17 yrs ago when we worked together at CITIBANK. Every day, for 3 yrs, you sat next to me.  I saw the best of you, and the VERY BEST OF YOU.  You made work fun, and I know you would say the same about me. We had soooo much in common, from our sons,  loving AMERICAS TEAM,  political views, to the love of fishing and the outdoors.  I’ll always miss “ HEEEEEEEYYYYY RAYYYYYY”, every time we linked up after work, or for a drink. You lived your life your way brother, never on anyone else’s terms.  Your life was lived in the fast lane, always full throttle, never slowing down , either keep up,  or stay left behind.  We had sooo many great times, and the memories I will cherish til I see you again.   I am jealous of your Steve, Jealous that you are now in heaven, jealous that you no longer have any pain!  I loved you just the way you were brother, I never judged you, and vice versa.  My heart hurts sooo much brother, the void you left in my soul will take a long time to heal.  I keep you close to my heart brother , I pray you come to me in my dreams, and welcome me with “ HEEEEEYYY RAYYYY!”   To your parents, thank you for sharing your son with us, with the world. To know STEVE, was to be loved by STEVE!  I pray my lord and savior wraps his warm blanket around you mom and dad, and comforts you in this time of pain.  Thank you so much , I can’t keep saying enough about your son. He was amazing, one of a kind, a 4 leaf clover, a UNICORN!!! Rest easy my brother , love you!!!

To Margaret and Lee, I am so very sorry for the hurt you must be feeling and your family as well. I always enjoyed to be in the same room with Steve. He would light up the room. He was so very respectful of me, being the Mother of Mike, one of his friends.  It has been awhile, although we did chat on Facebook, I haven’t seen him in some time, but will remember the laughter that always came with Steve. The Belchers will always hold fast to the memories that Steve left with us. God speed good guy. 💕

You were the funniest dude I ever had the pleasure of working with. From our times at Citi to wamu to medtronic. RIP brother. Heaven just got a great angel.

I met Steve through my ex-husband, Brian.  He was Brian's best friend, and I can remember so many stories I heard of them while they were growing up.  He was always the life of the party and was one of the few truly genuine people I've ever met.  He treated our son Jacob with the utmost respect and I will always be grateful for his friendship to Brian.  I last saw him when he came with Brian to drop off Jacob on Super Bowl Sunday and wish I would have stopped and waved goodbye.  He would always jump out of the car and give me a big hug if I was outside when they drove up.  Rest in peace, Steve!  Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

I’ve known Steve my whole life.  He was like my Dad’s brother since 3rd grade.  I remember all of our trips together, all of the memories.  You’re like an uncle to me, and I’m forever grateful.  Rest In Peace!

Steve, although I knew you for a short time, I could see the humble and wonderful person that you are!  I will forever treasure our friendship.  You entertained us in our morning meetings and provided us with a laugh everyday.  For that I thank you!  Adios amigo!

I knew Steve about five years. I knew him thru his good friend Brian S.  I considered him my friend. He was always In a friendly happy mood. He had a wonderful smile. His good nature would rub off on me. He was inspiring to be around. My sincere condolences to his family. Kirk Loftin.
