

Stephen Gaeta, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong San Antonian, went home to be with the Lord on December 3, 2025, at 10:06 AM, at the age of 68. Born on February 14, 1957, Stephen lived a life rich in faith, family, and service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Yolanda Gaeta, his daughters Melissa Gaeta Villarreal (George Villarreal) and Stephanie Gaeta, (Curtis Tyler). He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren, Gianna Villarreal, Alannah Villarreal, Gulianna Villarreal, Olivia Tyler and Cooper Tyler.
Stephen began his career as an engineer at just 23 years old, and over four decades, he made significant contributions to companies like Marmon Mok Architecture, Goetting and Associates and HDR Engineering. He was not only dedicated to his profession but also deeply committed to his faith and family.
Beyond his career, Stephen was an avid golf player, competing in several HDR golf tournaments throughout the United States. He loved watching sports and was a well-known San Antonio Spurs and Texas Longhorns fan. Stephen also practiced Shito-ryu karate earning several awards and after seven years was proudly presented with a well-deserved black belt, demonstrating discipline and dedication in every aspect of his life.
Services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Cornerstone Church, conducted by Porter Loring Mortuary West, with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in Cornerstone Church at 10:00 a.m. with a committal service to follow at Mission Burial Park North.
Stephen’s legacy of faith, love, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him.
