His show was great, he was always spot on with his diagnosis. You will be missed sir. I enjoyed the radio show very much.

I met Steve Gehrlein 10 years at KTSA. We were co-workers and bannering buddies. Then back in June of 2010 Steve tell me about a 
Vivid dream that He and I got married in Las Vegas. I thought he was 
Up to his pranks with me . He was not . Steve to me was treasured and 
Respected friend that I believed in whether he was Mr. Gehrlein or a friend 
Relaxed enough to be himself. We were married on August 10,2010.We 
Were brought together for a much beginner plan by God. In February 2010 ,Steve found a lump on breast . He a got me into the proper medical care as fast as he drove cars. By the one act and God putting us together 
Before Steve Gehrlein left this earth I was fighting for my life with3 Stage 
c Breast Cancer. Throughout Steve give me strength on how to love myself so I could others. I beat the Cancer on my pathology report stating 
Negative and no rumors on all 7. He was not just a car man those last 9 months but a loving,faith-filled that I will treasure forever.

Steve was a neighbor when we were kids. I recall he was fighting for justice re: the Photo Enforcement Program in a local suburb of S.A., which I found interesting, considering he was a former police officer. Recently, I made what I believe to be a legal right turn on red in that suburb and I was also ticketed by the camera report analysis from Tempe, AZ, but thanks to Steve for championing the cause.

My radio will not be the same. We lost a warrior who was an absolute fine person. I'm sure Steve was looking down on the bays surrounding Port O'Connor this weekend as the Wounded Warriors came to fish. Thanks for all the help you bestowed on the many listeners who called in and listened every weekend, myself included.

Weekend radio will never be the same without you. You were truly an outstanding personality. God bless. Spencer

I am a long time listener of Steve and he will be missed by so many. My thoughts are with the family.

I always listened to Steve on the weekend when I was able. He was the greatest. I learned so much from him, auto and life. Many times I would use his show as a contest to see if I could get in the neighborhood of the car problem and listen to Steve's answer to see if I was right. My wife would laugh.

I never met Mr. Gehrlein in person but did speak with him once on the radio show and listened to his program regularly. I can tell from the way he represented himself on the radio and in his business that he was a fine man, an example for the rest of us to follow. I miss hearing his voice already. I took my car to Steve when I lived on his side of town. I have listened to him for many years on the radio and took his advice about everything automotive. Many of us love our cars, so I shall miss this gentlemans voice on the radio 
and listening to the extremely vast knowledge he had of all automobiles. 
I particularly remember the calls that 
seemed like Mr. Gehrlein wanted to drop 
the phone and be right there instead and "under the hood" with the caller!

Although I never met Steve personally, I listened to his radio show almost every weekend. I was truly amazed of his knowledge of cars and know that his "radio family" will truly miss him. Thank you for sharing your husband, father, and brother all these years. May God give you peace and comfort during the days ahead. God bless you all.

I usually listened to Steve at least one day each weekend. I never called his show, but I emailed him various times and we talked politics or traded jokes. We shared the same music interests although I'm a couple years older than Steve. Steve's passing has hit me as hard as when I lost my Father in 2006. I felt we were buddys although Steve and I never met in person. I am very sad and extend my deepest condolences to the Gehrlein Family, God Bless You, Steve. You were taken from us many years too soon. It will take me a while to get over his passing. I hope someday to hear his voice again over the radio waves as a "Best of Steve Gehrlein" tribute show

I never met Steve but spent many Saturdays and Sundays listening in. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Steve. I looked forward to listening to him every weekend. I enjoyed his wit, humor and compassion. I was always impressed with his knowledge, whether it be cars or politics.

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I worked as a "Call Screener" for his show a few years ago. I absolutely loved working his show. He always had the best jokes and stories and you never, ever, had to worry about whether or not you had done something good or bad, because, Steve would tell you. HAH! He cherished his family, his God, and his Country. Steve never backed down from what he thought and that was so refreshing. He was a Good Man who loved his God, his Family and this Country. He was one of a Kind. Take comfort in his love and remember his strength. Take comfort in his inner strength and draw from it, during this very, very, difficult time. May Jesus Christ surround you all with his Comfort, His Peace and Assurance of His Resurrection.

I have enjoyed listening to Steve's programs for the last 15 to 16 years. He made my weekends. There will be a hole in my life without him. Always enjoyed his posative attitude and agreed with this political views.

He served on the SAPD with my father, and our children were at Bradley & MacArthur with Steve's children. I would like to express my sympathy to the entire Gehrlein family. I remember back to the 90's when Steve and Judy were very involved with the Booster club at MacArthur. My son was injured in the last football game of the regular season. Steve helped load him in the back of the Suburban so that we could get him to the hospital and then Steve called later to check on his injury. He always cared about the kids. My prayers go out to your family.

Steve was a wonderful man who had at least two loose screws if not more. Fortunately the screws were cross threaded and not going anywhere. On the surface, Steve was a larger than life personality who loved to be the center of attention. He was the smartest person he ever met and he loved to demonstrate that. On a personal level, he showed what a caring, honest, compassionate person he was. If he trusted you, he would talk about deeply personal things that were surprising, genuine, and touching. He helped me immensly through my divorce and gave me a lot of support just by talking about his own feelings and desires. I will never forget his huge presence and his antics like blowing up batteries in his face and almost dropping a car on himself. I always knew he would die in the shop, I just thought it would involve fire. I will miss him for the rest of my life and I feel blessed to have been there at his final moment.

"Adios Mi Amigo Steve" Thank you for all the wonderful years of friendship, support and being my friend. To all the Gehrline family, Steve will always be remembered as a giant in the automotive world, but to us who really got to know him, he was a big teddy bear who loved his family and all his close friends. I am proud to have been his Amigo, and will miss him greatly. A week ago today,I had lunch with him , I consider myself lucky to have shared his company that day. I will also miss him on the weekends hearing his humor and advice and calling in on the air to just say hi. God Bless You Steve Gehrline!

Never knew him but by his radio voice, but he seemed to be a good, religious, down-to-earth, common sense kind of guy. He will be unreplaceable on the radio. I was stationed at Fort Sam Houston the first time I heard Steve's show.Over the years I called the show several times and Steve literally saved me hundreds of dollars on car repairs.He loved the troops and his support for the military was never-ending. Oh my... what a loss for all who knew, appreciated, and admired this fine patriot, show host, and businessman. The concern Steve showed our family and MARSI Systems during our early struggles back in the mid '80s formed a friendship that never failed to get a smile, a warm handshake and an acknowledgement whenever our paths crossed.
