He worked 26 years in civil service at both Kelly Air Force Base and Fort Sam Houston and most recently a logistics employee for Amazon.
Steven was an avid sports fan. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing darts and barbecuing in his free time.
He is preceded in death by his father Antonio Gonzales and sister Sylvia Louise Gonzales.
He is survived by his mother Emma Ortiz Gonzales, daughter Briana Gonzales, who loved him dearly and cared for him in his final days, aunt Mary Garcia, cousins Lisa Marie Byrd (Jonathan) and Joe Michael Garcia (Victoria Luisa). Also survived by Linda Hernandez (Oscar), Pat Galvan and friend Vern.
Service to be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.
