Suanne Cardwell, age 60, passed away August 24, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born September 24, 1948, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to the late Theodore Milton and Bertha Lee Quick. One of Suanne's many special attributes was her gift and love for teaching which she did for over 20 years. She most recently taught at MacArthur High School since 1993. Suanne loved to travel and enjoyed taking groups of students on trips overseas. She was an avid UT football and baseball fan. Suanne was very active in her children's lives participating in youth activities at church, coaching soccer and Scouting. An inspiration to others, she will always be remembered for being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and teacher. Suanne is survived by her loving husband, Sam J. Cardwell; children, Mark Brandon Cardwell and wife, Liz, Jeffrey Alan Cardwell, and Susan Lee Cardwell; and granddaughter, Emma Lauren Cardwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Medina Children's Home, 21300 State Highway 16 N, Medina, Texas 78055.
