

Sue Embleton Duncan, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born August 14, 1926 in San Antonio. Her parents were Robert Vernon and Lucile (Hale) Embleton. She attended Alamo Heights High School and Incarnate Word University. In 1946, she married the love of her life, Harold Flemming Duncan, Jr. They had five children and eleven grandchildren.
Sue loved her family and spending time with them on the Frio River in Leakey, Texas. She also enjoyed going to the farm in Alice, Texas. Sue was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She had a servant's heart volunteering many hours rocking babies in the nursery at Trinity Baptist Church and helping with projects for the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary including the Recycled Style Shows, Doll and Bear Luncheons, Shoe-Ins and Angel Tree programs. She was known for the beautiful sweaters she knitted and her colorful needlepoint pieces. Sue was also a big arm chair Spurs fan.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years and her brother, Robert Vernon Embleton, Jr. Sue is survived by her children David Duncan, Lucy Vincent, Susan Stimson, Stephen Duncan and wife Mary, Martha Cleveland and husband Ted; grandchildren Jonathon Duncan, Allie Dorris and husband Will, Thomas Duncan, Ashley Voss, Rand Vincent, Maddie Vincent, Emma Stimson, Kimberly Duncan, Elizabeth Duncan, Zac Cleveland and wife Heather, and Emily Cleveland; her brother in law and sister in law, Robert and Lou Duncan and sister in law, Barbara Humberger; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank The Inn at Los Patios, Adante Memory Care, Carmela and Lupita for caring for our mother. She will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held on September 29th, 10:00am at Trinity Baptist, 319 E. Mulberry.
