She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, cherished by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Terry Standiford; and brother-in-law, Jerry Barnes.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Clyde C. Craven, Jr., with whom she shared a beautiful tapestry of life’s moments. Her legacy continues through her son, Jeffrey Schwartz, and his wife Kristel; her stepdaughter, Christa L. Craven; and stepson, Chad M. Craven and his wife, Andrea. After earning her Bachelor of Science from the University of San Francisco, Susan embarked on a fulfilling career as a Data Base Administrator for an investment company and Capital Group Companies. Her professional achievements were matched only by her dedication to her colleagues and the friendships she cultivated along the way.
Susan’s interests were a reflection of her creative spirit and her love for capturing the beauty of the world. She was an avid crocheter, creating intricate patterns that warmed the hearts and homes of those she loved. Photography was another passion allowing her to freeze time and share her unique perspective through the lens. Susan also found joy in baking, where she lovingly crafted delicious treats that brought comfort and happiness to those around her.
Those who knew Susan would describe her as a love, laughter, and connection. She left and indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends, who will continue to honor her memory by living life to the fullest, just as she did. Susan’s spirit will live on in the stories shared, the photographs taken, and the warm embrace of the crocheted blankets she left behind.
