

Susan “Susie” Elaine Dobson joined her husband, Amos “Corky” Alton Dobson, Jr. on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Susie’s heart was broken on May 20, 2022, with the passing of her husband of 54 years, Corky; and she was never the same. Her daughter, Jana finds solace and peace that her beloved mother is walking and dancing again with her daddy in heaven.
Susie was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 21, 1948, to her parents Humberto Carrejo and Janey Carrola. She is preceded in death by her husband, Corky; her father, Humberto Carrejo; mother, Janey Carrola; and sister, Olga Taylor. Susie is survived by her daughter, Jana Smith and husband Matthew Smith; granddaughters, Marissa Mascorro, Jamee Mascorro and fiancé Sean Council, and Kathryn Smith Jenkins and husband Hunter Jenkins; grandson, Matthew Kyle Smith and wife Alyssa Smith; great-grandson, Bodhi Smith; sister, Claudia Roberts; niece, Traci Leineweber and husband Mark Leineweber; and great-niece, Ashlee Leineweber Huneau; and best friend Jody Campbell.
Susie graduated from Highlands High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1966. She began working at GPM and ended her working career as an administrative assistant for Cinemark Theaters. Susie’s life was devoted to her daughter Jana, the church, her husband Corky and gardening. Jana would like to extend a special thank you to her mother’s closest friends of many years Jody, Connie, Joan, and Donna that visited her on a regular basis during her last months. Susie was a generous and loving soul and will be missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road.
