

She was born on December 08,1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska and preceded in death by her husband and forever love, William James Smith Hamilton, her parents, Rudolf August Clement and Theresa Susanna Goeschel, her brother, Rudy and sisters Lois, Joan, and Jeanne. She is survived by her son, James William Hamilton and wife Victoria; daughters, Deborah Lynn Mora and husband Raymond, Sue Ellen Hamilton, Theresa Marie Hamilton and husband Christopher; her grandchildren, Christopher R. Mora and wife Danielle, Randy J. Mora and his wife Rina, William J. Mora and his wife Alyssa, Melinda M. Hamilton, James M. Hamilton and his wife Aryelle, Stephen J. Hamilton and his husband Brandon, Nathan J. Hamilton and his wife Lovisa, Analyn J. Johnson; Shelby E. Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Nathen Pierro, Gabryella Mora, Cassidy Mora; Jovie Mora, Eden Mora, Lilah Mora, Carlyn Mora, Anabella Hamilton, and Novalyn Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews that she loved.
Susan loved the Lord and maintained a daily prayer list a mile long prayer for her family, friends and many she never met.
Susan loved her husband Bill whom she married on Dec. 29, 1962 in Lincoln, NE and according to Bill was the best Army wife ever. She loved contributing to every community over the many years and many stations from Texas to Germany.
Susan loved her children with an intensity that only they can truly understand and hope to emulate.
Susan loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren “.. ♫ ♫ a bushel and a peck and a hug about the neck.. ♫♫”
Susan loved her friends and was always available to provide a kind ear.
Susan was extremely successful in her career, retiring from the City of El Paso, Texas after 25 years of service where she held positions with the police, engineering, airport engineering, and human resource departments.
Visitation will be on Feb 26, 2025 from 6-9pm at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238 with a Rosary Service at 7pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Feb 27, 2025 at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church, 6150 Roft Rd, San Antonio, TX 78253 with a precession following after to the interment at 1:30pm at Fort Sam National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
