Susan Brice Rozelle, age 73, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, in Spring Branch, TX. Susan was born on October 28, 1952, in Rantoul, IL, to USAF TSgt Louis M. Brice and Ruth M. (Erdmann) Brice. Due to her father’s military service, the family moved frequently, living in Western Germany, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. When her dad retired from the U.S. Air Force, the family moved to San Angelo, TX, where Susan ultimately graduated from Central High School in 1970. She attended Angelo State University for a year before transferring to The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a degree in English. Susan thrived in the capital city, listening to live music and enjoying the premiere era of rock and roll. While in Austin, she met Clyde W. Rozelle. They shared a love for travel and adventure, and the couple married on October 18, 1980, in San Antonio, TX. Together, they had two children—a son, Logan, and a daughter, Lauren. Susan returned to San Angelo with her children and earned a teaching certificate in 1993. She then moved the family to Brady, TX, where she taught primarily 5th grade at Brady Elementary. After 22 years, she retired and made her way back to the Austin area to be closer to family. Susan was always willing to volunteer and help others. She loved a good party, especially when it was spending quality time with friends, family, and her beloved dogs. Survivors include her son, Logan Rozelle of Dallas, TX; daughter, Lauren and son-in-law Jeff Crosby of Kyle, TX; granddaughter, Charlotte Crosby of Kyle; sister, Chris and brother-in-law Shannon Jones of Midwest City, OK; sister-in-law, Kathy Rozelle of San Antonio; and many beloved relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Mark Brice (known as Chip), her in-laws Midge and Winston Rozelle, and her brother-in-law Alan Rozelle.
