Susana Paloma Boyer, age 61, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Spring Branch, Texas. She was born on October 13, 1956 in Spain. Susie was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandma. She is survived by her husband, Nils Boyer; parents, Alexander and Paloma Broun; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Cody Henderson; sons and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Cassi Boyer, Sean Boyer, and Aaron Boyer; grandchildren, Owen, Nora, and Rilyn; her sisters and brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Susie's heart belongs to the Lord and we know that she is now in the arms of Jesus. She grew up traveling all over the world and then became rooted in Texas as an adult. She met her husband of 33 years, Nils, and started their family in Houston, and later moved to San Antonio which is where she last called home.
Her silly and playful nature, songs she sang, and special mom and grandma sayings and gestures will live on through her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening and flowers, April Fool's Day, the Beatles, and everything about the beach. Susie also had a heart for those in need. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions towards the Susie Boyer Living Water Memorial Fund which will sponsor the construction of a fresh water well in an area of need.
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." – Deuteronomy 6:5
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." – Psalms 139:13-16
