Suzanne Louise Broderick

Suzanne Louise Michaelis Broderick passed away on May 3, from cancer complications at her home in San Antonio, Texas. She was born June 25, 1954, to Robert and Margaret Michaelis in Belleville, Illinois. Sue graduated in 1972 from Althoff Catholic High School, Belleville. After receiving her degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant, she worked for several years at Missouri-Pacific Hospital in St. Louis.

While in high school, she met Jeremiah Kevin Broderick. They married at Our Lady Queen Of Peace in Belleville on April 26, 1975. They lived in Belleville and O'Fallon, Illinois. In 1997, the family moved to League City, Texas and later, Miami, Florida before returning to Texas - Houston then San Antonio.

Two loved, and loving, boys followed, Sean Patrick (born 1982) & Timothy Michael (born 1987). Years later, Sean married Lauren Petrick and they added a son to the mix, Michael Patrick. Sue adored her grandson and loved babysitting him and having him stay over in San Antonio when that branch of the family moved to Pearland, Texas.

In addition to her family, Sue loved dogs. There was almost always a dog - purebred as well as mutts - romping around the house. Then she discovered her love of pugs and adopted several rescue pugs into the family.

Sue is survived by her loving family: her husband, Jerry, her sons, Sean and Tim, her daughter-in-law, Lauren and her grandson, Michael. Her sister, Carol (Michael) Knowles and their son Robert and his son Nathan Knowles; and brother-in-law, Patrick Broderick.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret Michaelis and mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Mildred Broderick.
