Daughter of Jesse Alto Wilson and Lila Belle Wood, the former Mary Syble Wilson was born on November 23, 1928 and lived in Macon, Georgia, and St. Petersburg, Florida.
She graduated from Mather School of Nursing now William Carey University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1951, and married William Sidney Price, Jr. on February 23, 1952. They moved to Sacramento, California and were stationed at Mather Air Force Base. Syble retired from her nursing career in 1986. After subsequent moves to Arkansas, Nebraska, Hawaii, and Texas she moved to San Antonio in 1992.
Syble was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Mark Price, Little Rock, Arkansas, and sister, Redetha Ann Ratchford, Decatur, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, William Sidney Price Jr.; one son, William Wilson Price, Oak Hill, Virginia; one daughter, Mary Sydney Price-Nagel, Beverly Hills, California; one grand-daughter; two great-grandchildren; and a number of great nephews and nieces.
