Sylvia is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Estevan S. Almendarez; her mother, Chelo Gonzales; her brothers, Freddy Gonzales, Robert Gonzales and Leslie Gonzales; and her numerous extended family and friends who loved her.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the services at Funeraria del Angel Trevino – 226 Cupples Road 78237 – will be limited to only 50 people in the building. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times.
The family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Monday, October 5 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM. On Tuesday, October 6, a Funeral Service will begin at the funeral chapel at 9:15 AM. The Burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will be an intimate family gathering at this time.
