Sylvia C. Flynn, age 83, passed away on January 6, 2003, in San Antonio, TX. She belonged to the Officers Wives Club and enjoyed travel, needle work, playing cards and reading. Sylvia was a former volunteer of Texas Institute of Culture for many years. Sylvia was a professional Opera singer in Boston, MA and sang with her brothers on radio. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Col. Charles J. Flynn, Jr. USAF Ret, San Antonio, TX; daughter, Marcia Carlow and husband Gene of New Braunfels, TX; son, David R. Flynn and wife, Dedra of League City, TX; granddaughter, Melissa Palomo of Houston, TX; grandson, David Lema and wife Missy of Memphis, TN; three great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all.
